I'm fed up with not being able to find raspberries in Italy so I've decided to grow them, I've planted four in my garden but so far nothing has happened.....watch this space for further details......

I planted four stems...one seems to have died, one was going very well but I broke the delicate shoots by watering too ferociously...the other two are sprouting from the base...yesd I have seen them in shops but I have also seen the price

They are not growing very well, now someone has told me they don't like too much sun (should they hide from it?)

Maybe if you transplanting them in autumn, they have more time to "become accustomed", but if you find for them a place near a tree it's better :)

So in the end I only got one raspberry last year...during the harsh Winter my garden was invaded by Wild boar and they did a lot of digging including around my poor raspberries..i was afraid they wouldn't survive..imagine my suprise when they started growing stronger than ever! Thank you Mr. Cinghiale! and now for the most astonishing story of all ( I ask myself if anyone is reading this...) scientists have analysed cosmic dust light years away from the earth (don't ask me how!) and have concluded it tastes of..... RASPBERRIES!..... don't believe me? try this Cosmic Raspberries

I'm really happy your raspberry survive stronger than before  boars don't usually let something alive where they go :P
Have you ever thought to enclose your garden?
Yes ...raspberries and rhum  ...what a strange discovery and, first of all, what a weird research :pensa:

there is no limit to the weirdness of people! we are now pricing the job of fencing the garden...seems like it will be about 10 euros per metre...does that sound right?
